Speaker chairs Business Committee meeting in preparation for upcoming Parliament sitting

The Speaker of Parliament the Hon. Filimone Jitoko, today presided over the Business Committee meeting to finalise the agenda for the upcoming sitting scheduled for next week.

The meeting brought together Members of the Committee to deliberate on the proposed order of business, ensuring that the legislative programme and other parliamentary matters are well-organised and ready for consideration by the House.

This meeting follows the Speaker’s recent return from international engagements at the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Barbados and the 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Geneva, where he represented Fiji in discussions on strengthening democratic institutions and global parliamentary cooperation.
