The Parliament of the Republic of Fiji, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is hosting a two-day Bill Review Seminar at the Novotel Hotel in Lami. (07.10.25)
This important event brings together Hon. Members of the six Standing Committees and Parliament staff to review and discuss key legislative matters, with the aim of strengthening the legislative process and promoting good governance.
The seminar provides a platform for in-depth analysis and constructive dialogue on proposed bills, ensuring that legislative initiatives are thoroughly examined before enactment. It also offers an opportunity for committee members to collaborate, share expertise, and align their efforts towards creating more effective and inclusive laws that address national priorities.
Furthermore, the event underscores the commitment of both the Parliament of Fiji and the UNDP to support sustainable development goals by fostering transparent and participatory policymaking.
Participants will also engage in capacity-building sessions designed to enhance legislative skills and promote best practices in lawmaking.
This was made possible thanks to the support of the Governments of Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
