In preparation for the 151st
Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, the Fijian delegation received a heartfelt welcome from the staff of Fiji’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organisations in Geneva, marked by a traditional isevusevu ceremony and a warm welcome dinner.
Led by the Speaker of Parliament the Hon. Filimone Jitoko, the delegation presented their isevusevu as a gesture of respect and gratitude for the Mission’s steadfast service in representing Fiji on the global stage.
The evening was enriched by meaningful conversations, heartfelt storytelling, and a shared pride in our nation; a powerful reflection of the strength and unity within our Fijian community, even far from home.
Vinaka vakalevu to our Geneva family for your warm hospitality and steadfast dedication to Fiji.
